Merry Christmas

So, as Helen said we went to Wild Adventures the other day with the kids, and had a pretty good time. As soon as we entered the park, one of the animal handlers came up to Helen, and put an alligator in her arms and told her to smile for the camera. She didn't even have time to say no. She asked Nathan if he wanted to hold it. He wanted nothing to do with the alligator. He was strapped in his stroller, so he couldn't get away. The festival of lights was okay. It's more exciting in Brookfield...not to mention cheaper. If you're thinking of going to Wild Adventure's just to see the lights, don't waste your time or money. You can see the same thing or better in any yard or subdivision in your neighborhood. Now, the rides was a different story. We had a really great time on the rides. We being me and Nathan. Helen and Sam did go on the ferris wheel with us. Nathan was too funny on it. As it came down, he would start patting his hands on his legs and tell me to pat too (this is how the rocket takes off on Little Einstein which he loves to watch), so we started going pat pat pat pat, then a little faster, then we raised our hands way up high and shouted BLASTOFF!!!! and up we went in the ferris wheel! We did that everytime it would come back down and then go up. I have successfully addicted Nathan to roller coasters. We went on everyone that he was tall enough for. He wanted to ride them all, but I had to explain that he wasn't tall enough yet. I can't wait until he is tall enough for them. On second thought I can wait. Him and Sam are both growing up way too quick. We also went on a big slide where we had to sit on blankets. He liked seeing all the animals too. It was a very good day for us all. It was good family time together. We had dinner in Valdosta, and went to the mall and looked around. Helen's post has the Santa encounters so I won't get into detail on that. That's all for now. Have a Merry Christmas!!! (the term "Happy Holidays" is offensive to me so I call it what it is).....MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Sounds like a really cool "family" day. I think the term "Happy Holidays" is for wimps with no backbone to say MERRY CHRISTMAS !!

I think people who say "Happy Holidays" are learned enough to realize that Christmas, Hanukkah and Eid are all joyously celebreated this time of year and are secure enough in their religious beliefs not to be offended by someone trying to be inclusive. After all, Jesus said "Love everyone". ;)

What is Eid? I am apparently a little unlearned. That was one of the fun things about living in PA. Remember the holiday season at Longstreth? We all know how I feel about "Light one Candle"
